Rocket League on Xbox One X can be played in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, with High Dynamic Range (HDR). This change was made in the December Update in 2018.
Please note: 4K support requires a 4K-capable television and HDMI cable. HDR support requires a television with HDR support.
Playing on Xbox One X, but with a 1080p TV or display?
You can still take advantage of supersampling on the Xbox One X with this update! To learn more about 4K support, HDR, and supersampling on the Xbox One X, click here.
There are three HDR settings that can be adjusted on the Video tab in Options:
HDR Paper White: Adjusts how bright a paperwhite surface should be (in nits) when HDR is enabled.
HDR Contrast: Controls the contrast of the image when HDR is enabled. While modifying this, be careful not to lose detail in the dark areas of the scene.
HDR Side by Side Visualizer: Toggles the HDR Side by Side Visualizer with Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) on the left and High Dynamic Range (HDR) on the right.
