Setting Rocket League to run as an administrator can help in cases where Rocket League isn't starting.
Epic Games Store
To run Rocket League in the Epic Game Store as an administrator:
- Click on the yellow folder icon in the bottom left corner
This will open File Explorer - Double click on This Computer
- Double click on Local Disk (C:)
- Double click on Program Files
- Double click on Epic Games
- Double click on rocketleague
- Double click on the Rocket League folder
- Double click on the Binaries folder
- Double click on the Win64 folder
- Right-click on RocketLeague file
- Select Properties
- Click the Compatibility tab
- Check the Run This Program As An Administrator box
- Click the Apply button
- Click the OK button
To run the Epic Games Store as an administrator:
- Right-click on the Epic Games Launcher shortcut on your desktop
- Select Properties
- Click on the Compatibility tab
- Check Run This Program As An Administrator
- Click the Apply button
- Click the OK button
Steam
Here's how to run Rocket League in Steam as an administrator:
- Open Steam
- Click on the Library link along the top
- Right-click on Rocket League
- Click on the Local Files tab
- Click on the Browse Local Files button
- Double click on the Binaries folder
- Double click on the Win64 folder
- Right-click on RocketLeague file
- Select Properties
- Click Compatibility tab
- Check Run This Program As An Administrator
- Click the Apply button
- Click the OK button
