Setting the Max FPS (Frames Per Second) to match your monitor refresh rate is a good thing. This ensures that your computer isn’t working hard to create extra video frames that aren’t shown on your monitor. You will see smoother gameplay if your computer isn’t working harder than needed.
Determine Your Monitor Refresh Rate
- Right-click anywhere on the Desktop where there are no icons
- Select Display Settings
- Scroll to the bottom of the window
- Click on Advanced Display Settings
- Find the Refresh Rate (Hz) line, this will show the monitor Refresh Rate
Change the Max FPS in Rocket League
- Start Rocket League
- Select Settings
- Select the Video Tab
- Move the Max FPS Slider to match your monitor’s Refresh Rate
